The British royal family
The British royal family is undoubtedly one of the most famous. Queen Elizabeth II is currently the ruler of Great Britain and other Commonwealth nations. Her son, Prince Charles, is next in line to the throne though it is highly likely that he will give the crown to the Duke of Cambridge. Prince George is third in line ahead of his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis
The Danish royal family
Queen Margrethe II reigns over Denmark and here, is photographed alongside her husband, Prince Henrik, who sadly passed away in February 2018. Their son, Prince Frederik and his wife Crown Princess Mary have four children together: Princess Isabella, Princess Josephine, Prince Christian and Prince Vincent.
The King and Queen of Bhutan
The House of Wangchuck rules over Bhutan and the current King is Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck who wed his wife, Queen Jetsun Pema, back in 2011. The couple welcomed their first child together in February 2016.
Netherland’s royal family
King Willem Alexander took to the throne in April 2013. Him and his wife, Queen Máxima, have three children together: Princess Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria, Princess Alexia Juliana Marcela Laurentien and Princess Ariane Wilhelmina Máxima Inés.
Japan’s Imperial Family
Emperor Akihito and his wife, Empress Michiko Shōda, currently rule over Japan. The Japanese monarchy is reportedly the oldest hereditary monarchy in the world.
The royal family of Monaco
The House of Grimaldi reigns over Monaco and is ruled by Albert II and his wife, Charlène de Monaco. The couple share two children together, Jacques and Gabriella.
The King of Bahrain
HM King Hamad bin Isa is the King of Bahrain and the country has been ruled by the Al Khalifa dynasty since 1783. The royal has a total of four wives and twelve children, seven sons and five daughters.
The head of state in Malaysia
Sultan Muhammed V is the 15th head of state in Malaysia and took to the throne in 2010.

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is currently the world’s youngest monarch at the age of 38. He is the Emir of Qatar.

Qaboos bin Said al Said currently holds the title as the longest serving Arab leader and is the Sultan of Oman. He has been married twice.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Queen Saleha currently rule over Brunei in Borneo. He is currently the world’s second longest-reigning monarch after Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal family of Belgium
King Philippe currently reigns over Belgium with his wife, Queen Mathilde. The couple have four children together and their eldest, Princess Elisabeth, is first in line to the throne.

Amir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is the head of state in Kuwait.
The Swedish royal family
King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia rule over Sweden. Their daughter, Crown Princess Victoria is next in line to the throne and is married to Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland. The couple share two children together, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar.

Hans-Adam II is the Prince of Liechtenstein alongside his wife, Princess Marie of Liechtenstein. The couple share four children and 15 grandchildren.
The King of Thailand
Maha Vajiralongkorn ascended to the throne following his father’s death on 1 December 2016. He rules Thailand alongside his former wife, Princess Srirasmi, and at 64 was reportedly named the oldest Thai monarch to ascend to the throne.

King Tupou VI succeeded to the throne of Tonga after his brother, King Tupou V, passed away in 2012. He has three children with wife, Nanasipauʻu Tukuʻaho.

Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahayan is the current President of the United Arab Emirates.
